This Egret was putting on a one bird show last week at Rocky Nick State Park, Ct. ( very few birds in the park these past weeks.). Anyway as you can see it has a small fishing and bunch of grass in its’ mouth. This Egret then spent, the nest ten minutes trying to spit the grass out and keep the fish. This shot was taken on April 22, at 8:30 AM.

Is this a composite: No
Canon R%, Canon 100-500mm & 1.4ext, f10, 700mm, -1 EV, 1/1600, ISO 250. The shot is cropped by 40% and I adjusted the saturation in DXO Photo Lab 5.

You caught fish and grass in this shot Peter. Plus the whites are really good. Hope it managed to get a decent meal in the end.
