I have a field next to my house that has all kinds of interesting things to photograph especially if you have a macro lens. I found this cute little spider waiting patiently for dinner.

Great sense of tension here…waiting for the action to begin. Terrific focus on the spider. Crabs are some of the most patient with humans looming near them.
Shawn, I love the composition you have here. Very nice details in the spider as well. The balance of the yellowish colors in the spider with the center of the flower works nicely. I can’t think of anything that would improve the shot.

Shawn: I like how your DOF/POF choice brings all the attention to the spider and renders the flower as a great supporting actor. I think that if the flower center was sharp it would steal some attention from the spider. First class shot.
