Spotlit Succulent

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

We have a few cacti/succulents in our garden and thanks to the heretofore mild winter they are doing well. I noticed this one the other day with dappled light coming through our bougainvillea. Did some clean up in the corners and added a vignette. All comments welcome. >=))>

So cool!! Love the crazy colors and the DOF!!

Nice, Bill. I love how the light is on this succulent, bringing out the colors and shapes, and pulling the eye to where you have the sharpness as well. Well done! It must be nice that you have garden plants to photograph in winter. I am so looking forward to spring. Everything is dead here.

Great image, Bill. I love the light and the way it makes the plant glow. I could see playing with reality a bit and having a hint of that glow in the green bases of the next tier or two of leaves down.

Wonderful image, Bill…LOVE the natural funneled light beam here on the subject… :+1:
