Spotted Towhee

This is a rework of an image I may have posted previously. I worked on the exposure and the black plumage. This is also a different crop.

Beautiful job on the plumage, David. I find the out of focus tail sticking at us a bit distracting, but the face is gorgeous. I think this would be superb if you cropped it to a head and shoulders portrait.

Woah that’s so lovely. Light to die for. Agree about the crop to keep us focused an all that gorgeous plumage. You could also probably clone the bright stem in front of the bird if you felt so inclined. Shouldn’t be too hard.

Excellent work on this, David. Well done.

Excellent facial detail. The setting with the foliage and background is great. The tail doesn’t bother me as I’m drawn to the face and for me a tighter crop would negate much of the setting, which for me helps makes this a great image.

Nice capture David and great job on the dark plumage as stated above. The eye is really nice too. Agree with Allen Brooks on the crop.
