Another of my favorite roses. I noticed this threesome showing off in some good light this afternoon but also waving around in a persistent breeze. I decided to go for a shallow DOF to blur the BG and the smaller flower and bud. All comments welcome.>=))>

Good choice of DOF, in my opinion, Bill. This is a very pleasing image, with only the front bloom sharp. The colors are very nice.

One of my favorite compositions is not just having a repeating single element, but 3 or more. To see these roses in graduated stages of maturity tells a nice story. I personally would’ve been tempted to reverse the composition and place the emerging bud in focus and defocus the mature bloom. Can’t tell you why, but I’ve been always fascinated with emergence of change.
