Ron: What a marvelous never to be repeated scene. Love the colors and the comp. Many kudos! >=))>

Ron, the “rocks in the sky” view looks great as it causes a double take. If you wanted to push that feeling further, cloning out the ripple along the upper left edge would make it even harder to tell that this is a reflection. Definitely good fun!

Thank you @Bill_Fach and @Mark_Seaver for commenting. I was watching the sky as it lit up and fortunately glanced down at my feet to see this.

The colors in this are stunning Ron. Love the stones that break up the scene and add a lot of interest. You did a really nice job getting some detail in the dark stones while capturing the wonderful sunset lights.

You were fortunate to find this subject Ron and it’s a great capture. I have some like it but not as good! Only comment is the crop – I’d use a square format and prune out that hot spot up top.

Oooh, rocks floating in they sky! That never gets old for me. Those colors are gorgeous. It’s great as is (although maybe burn down that really bright spot). If you wanted to go more abstract, I like James’ idea of cropping out the ripple mark so we can’t readily tell it’s water.

Oh yes, this grabbed my attention. Very nice seeing and composition. The ripples in the water don’t bother me as much as the hot spot in the left side. I looked at cropping to just below that, but you lose the balance of the image. So, I think it’s more of burning or cloning it out a bit. Though, I could see cropping from the top those other clouds. Though, I do like how this flows and has nice breathing space with them there. Just an idea to try. Nice timing.

Thank you @Ed_Williams, @james7, @Bonnie_Lampley and @pat2 for your suggestions. I went all the way and removed the troubling area. Please see the repost.

I don’t think it was “troubling” - just a different way to look at it!

Initially, I didn’t think it needed any further cropping but after seeing this crop you made, I really like its look. I think it’s an improvement on an already swell capture.

The cropping did the trick for me!! Really nice picture!!

I missed this earlier, but I’m so glad I found it now – it is amazing and wonderful!! I think the crop is even stronger, if that’s possible. Congratulations on the EP! Very well-deserved!

Thank you, NPN, for the Editor’s Pick!
