Sun Rise

This Great Blue was photograph in one of the many coves on the Back River in Old Lyme, Ct. The sun had just cleared the hill be hind me and the blue stepped out from the reeds into the sun light. The second shot was taken 6 min. before the breakfast shot.

Canon 7Dll, Sigma 150-600mm, 516mm, F7.1, 1/1250, ISO 1250. 8/18/20 6:38 AM! The shot was cropped to 40% and a brough up the exposer on the first photo by .40 in DxO PhotoLab.


Two nice shots Peter. Both have good poses and sharp details. Although the breakfast shot is a dandy with the fish I prefer the earlier shot with a better lighting angle on the GBH. It looks like a good location.

I like both shots Peter. Love seeing the feeding behavior and also the stalking pose in the second shot. The green grass provides a nice setting.

Both are very nice with good lighting and detail. I’d go with the action shot, the other is a bit static, and the fish is a great bonus. Both well done.
