The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
Had some fun with this hibiscus a few mornings ago as the light coming through the trees kept changing. I had some with the entire flower illuminated but thought the dappled light was a lot more interesting. >=))>
Specific Feedback
Any preference for either presentation and if so why.

Bill, I definitely prefer the lower one - the BG is darker and much less distracting; and the colorful stamen is highlighted to attract the insects - and viewer! The petals too are clearer and more muted at the top. So it’s No. 2 for me.
I prefer the lighting on the first image, Bill, because I like the lighter petals behind the pistil and stamens. However, that does put the light on the out of focus petals, so that’s where my eye goes first. Also, in the second image the light on the foreground petals shows their imperfections rather harshly (some of the white patches look perilously close to blown). I think bringing down the contrast in the lighting in both images (particularly the petals) would be an interesting exercise.
Definitely the second one for me! But I would clone out the brighter flaws on the near petals. Maybe stack two raw captures, one with Highlights brought down and masked to reveal it on the near petals.
