Just one of those mornings when all the photo gods showed kindness. No one photobombing, perfect light, no wind. The only drawback was it was quite cold and waiting for the sun to hit just above the coastal cloudbank reminded me to layer on more clothes. Brrrrrrrrrrr, but worth the wait.

My only editing concern was wondering if I needed more color in the foreground foliage.
Chris, this was certainly worth the wait (and shivers)!
I might boost the saturation in the foreground to help add more warmth in reflections. Was the light hitting the taller vegetation at the bottom of the frame warm as well?
Hi, Jim. I originally had more foreground saturation but it felt a bit too artificial though after reading your remarks, I wonder if I was too sensitive to the coldness of the morning and allowing that to influence the warmth, or lack thereof. I will explore this later this evening. Thanks for your insight.
I love the little bits of orange reflection through out the flat landscape. An interesting suggestion from Jim and worth another version, however I do like the image as posted.
Chris: Perhaps a touch more light on the FG but I like the contrast between the cool FG and the marvelous warm BG. Standing and waiting in the cold is one of my least favorite things but a necessary evil. This image was well worth the effort. Nicely done.>=))>
