Swainson's Thrush

I was finishing a day of birding when this guy popped up and started foraging in the ground litter. I took a few shots and it decided to jump up a shady rock ledge not so far away. It was pretty dark and shadowy but was able to get few I liked.

Nicely done, Stephen. These birds can be difficult to photograph as they seem to like to stay undercover and in the shadows, and don’t visit feeders.

Hi Stephen, nice pose with a sharp eye. A great look at a tough to get bird. I like the habitat surrounding the bird as well. Well done.

Excellent, Stephen. Those rocks make a superb background for this species. Detail in the bird is very good.

Hi Stephen
The exposure on this Thrush works well with its’ background. You have a nice head turn with good eye contact and white feather control. Good catch.
