What technical feedback would you like if any? Any?
What artistic feedback would you like if any? Tulip trees have spectacular flowers and there are just a few very good images of the flower. I like having the surrounding leaves in the shot which provides info on how big are these flowers. What do you think?

Jim: I like this on several levels. First, we have one of these trees but it has yet to flower so this gives me hope and anticipation. Second, the lighting is spot on perfect and finally the comp against the black BG is top notch. Superbly crafted image.>=))>
Very nicely done, Jim ! I have a tulip tree in a local park and have tried shooting it from time to time with no success to speak of - I think taking the studio route has worked beautifully, Great sharpness all round, perfect lighting and, yes, having the leaves in is the right call for me - a most excellent presentation of this lovely leaf and flower gathering.
Beatiful tree and a really beautiful picture, I love the light and the patterns on the leaves. If I have to be picky I would move the leaf on the right to the front of the one that is showing the back. In that case, you would have a full leave on the frame and I think it would balance nicely with the flower.
Cheers!
A beautiful composition, Jim, and perfect lighting. I do agree with keeping the leaves, though not knowing how large the leaves themselves are, they don’t provide a real sense of scale. A lovely image.
Definitely keep the leaves. They make the image. All the elements work in your composition as well as the background. A very tough flower to photograph and you did an excellent job.
Jim,
I would definitely keep the leaves as they compliment the colorful tulip flower beautifully. you also handled the lighting beautifully. My only suggestion; and it may be just me because no one else has mentioned it; would be to darken the BG a bit more toward the bottom because I am seeing grey colored shapes instead of solid black. Anyway, beautifully done.
Jim, this is an outstanding look at a tulip poplar flower and the early summer leaves. We have multitudes of them around here and it is extremely hard to get a good look at a flower unless you’re using binoculars. Nice job of showing something that all around, but under appreciated. Your comp. looks perfect.
Excellent shot, Jim. Like others, I love the composition and lighting of this beautiful bloom with the leaves to frame around it, set against the black background. Well done.
Beautifully composed, well lighted image! I have never seen this flower or the tree. Looks like a lovely flower. Leaves add a lot to the image and composition.
