Description

Greater Burdock is grown abundantly where I live in Korea for its edible roots. I like to view the huge leaves just as the sun is about to set. Backlighting brings out the vein structure, and it also imparts a startling colour, which I have tried to capture here.

D500 + Helios 58mmf2 1/250 f5.6 ISO 160 tripod

18 shots stacked in Zerene (I also stacked the PMax and DMap outputs at the end). Small adjustments in PS to the tonalities (Levels, Shadows, Highlights and Curves). Cropped.

I think this is SO cool!! And a great subject for a focus stack, which looks completely natural.
