Water Lilies

Actually just some small flowers on the side of the road.
A bit of oil paint added, not much else, just f3 aperture

which let them float…

105mm, 1/250, f3, iso200
Any comments appreciated.

Dan: This is beautiful. One has to magnify the image to get the full affect of the processing and I like what it does for the final result. I especially like the light and BG. Superbly crafted image. >=))> :+1::+1:

Your placement of the Cosmos in the frame is great and the blurred background gives the viewer the natural feel. Two suggestions - the background is blurred a bit too much. I would like to see some detail . I would work with the clone tool on repairing the bottom of the background flower on the right. Might take some time but the image is well worth it.

Very nice find and I like your processing, Dan. To me the out of focus decaying petals in the right flower are a bit of an issue. I don’t mind the decay, but combined with the softness they just don’t seem to fit with the rest of the image.

Dan, the processing is top-notch. Good color and detail. I have the same issue as Dennis with the “over-the-hill” flower on the right. You might try cloning in color and detail as Barbara suggested, but I don’t mind telling you whenever I’ve tried something like that, I wound up with an unholy mess.

Dan
I like this and the little bit of oil pain you used really adds to it. I might want to low opacity clone those brownish areas in the BG and play with the crop a little , maybe crop so that the bottom flower was in the lower left crosspoint.

Wonderful colors and background. However, I especially like the water color effect you added. Super image.
