Second Revision:
Slightly cooled version:
Original Version
I’ve been working/sitting on this one for a couple of weeks and finally feel it’s in a sharable condition. This is clearly an ICM. It is of a side-lit Maple branch overhanging the trail I was on.
I like the feeling of waves and of course the green with a bit of yellow…
Here’s another image of that branch so you can get an idea of what the subject is:

Hi David, lovely abstract image reminding me of the Palouse with the vibrant green hues and wavy patterns. Speaking of green colors, I would recommend cooling down the image to see if you can extract more color separation in the yellows and greens. Otherwise, well done on this image!

David,
The green-based colors are so calming here. The movement is just right - too much and the colors blend like crayons… not enough and you get the detail - as in your reference image.
One of the many cool things about ICM is how the colors are really brought out - almost extracted or revealed as well. So at first, I preferred your original, but in viewing a couple times against the rework from Alfredo’s suggestions - he is right! There seems to be a better separation of colors in the cooler version.
Excellent!

I never would have guessed that this was a photo of a branch and some leaves on a trial you were hiking. Wow!
I love the color combo and I really like the cooled down version. Although only a subtle change it makes a difference. You have just enough movement in this image as @Lon_Overacker mentions. This really looks like water to me. My only suggestion would be to think about a very slight burning of the light strip going across the bottom of the frame. It stands out quite a bit. Glad you shared this one, David!

@David_Haynes thanks for the comments and suggestions on the light strip. I’ve posted another revision up above.

So much better. Much smoother transition. Really love this one.
