This is a 15 shot stack from about 3 weeks ago, taken on a drizzly, grey day. The Redbud blooms are now past their peak as spring moves rapidly along… I had to tone down the yellow and green channels a bit to avoid the oversaturated green glow, although the background (lawn grass) is still very green. (5D3, 180 mm macro, 1/15 s, f/13, iso 800, tripod)

Redbuds blooming are always a welcome sight when there is little else to add color to the still dormant landscape. I took many photos of my Redbuds this spring, but never had a suitable background as you have here, Mark. The flowers stand out dramatically against that background, and the image is super sharp.
