What, no fish?

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

After paddling out to an island off Groton, CT, I spent several enjoyable minutes watching a group of common terns swooping over the water feeding on bait fish. Although I was never able to capture an actual “catch” I did spy this humorous scene off in the distance.

Specific Feedback

All comments and suggestions are welcome and thanks for viewing. Cropped quite a bit so sharpness suffered.

Technical Details

Nice interaction, Jim. It actually held up pretty well to the crop. It fits your title well.

Nice shot Jim with a good flight pose from the top bird and more interest added by the viewing bird on bottom. I can see what you mean by image quality being affected by the crop but it’s not too bad. Interesting image.

Good flight pose and interaction between the two. Your title fits the image well.

Thank you @Dennis_Plank , @Allen_Sparks , and @Allen_Brooks for viewing my submission and your kind remarks.
