Wild Flower Seedling

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

We have a hillside that would not grow grass. I am trying to grow a wildflower garden. I planted a bag of seeds labeled Hummingbird and Butterfly Mix. I do not know what this flower will be. At the time of the photo, it is about 6" tall. I was drawn to the leaves.
Please let me know if you recognize it.

Nice presentation, Steve. With the plain black background, you might consider putting a border around the edge so it pops from the screen a little more. I tried a Google image search and it looks like there are a number of possibilities, with Dill and Chamomille being two of the likelier suspects.

Looks like Cosmos to me.

Thanks @Dennis_Plank and @Jim_Gavin
Cosmos it is thanks

I don’t know the plant but I love shots like this. You positioned yourself very well to get a great composition. I see you were at f/10. There are a few areas that aren’t in sharp focus, and without stacking it might be tough to get it all without stacking. I’ve been toying around with hyperfocal distance on shots like this to see if it helps. I dont do the math, I just use a tripod and spot-focus on various areas to see if I get more in focus.
