This is one of our two dominant Anna’s Hummingbirds. This one has staked out the feeder with a heat lamp, though he spends little time there. I really liked the falling snow in this one. The darker background is an out of focus fencing section at the other end of an enclosed garden space behind the house.

Sony a1, FE 200-600 + 1.4 TC @ 840 mm, hand held, f/9, 1/250, iso 2000, manual exposure. Processed in LR & PS CC. A pretty large crop to 3104x2441. Taken December 26th at 12:32 PM.

Excellent color and detail with pleasing pose. The falling snow conveys the cold outside environment well.
