Wrath

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

The name for this image comes from the intense and passionate energy that the sandstone’s patterns convey. The deep grooves and bold swirls mimic the powerful, often fierce forces of nature that shape the land. It’s a visual story of nature’s raw power, quietly echoing the strength and spirit that the word ‘wrath’ embodies.

Amazing natural patterns Saundie! I think with a tighter crop with a focus on those two swirling shapes, it would look like a giant maelstrom on Jupiter.

Ho hum – just another routine Holy Cow!!

Seriously, you have presented another amazing formation. I have no sense of scale – it could be a drone shot – and it feels very 3D. I’m immersed in it and having a hard time moving on… Completely intriguing!

Thanks Alfredo, funny I started with a tighter crop and then opened it up. I does look Jupiterish. :+1:

Ho-lee-cow (this will be my spelling from here on in) … thanks Diane! Great to hear you found it intriguing!

Nice to know our slang expression works for you! We found on a long-ago trip that things don’t always mean the same down there.

A fine composition and a fine shot!

You might want to think about eliminating the crack in the upper right, which I find mildly distracting, but that’s a nitpick.

This is another Great find. I love it. I agree with Don, the crack in the upper right is slightly distracting, but it is a nitpick. Well done.
