Description

Our tree roses do very well , despite my being told when I planted them all 10 years ago, that they would never thrive in our wet, windy, salty winters. They do get a snowsuit in the winter, though…
The yellow roses apparently attracted this little goldfinchie.

This is my kind of photo, where the bird is in a setting, that by itself, would make a pleasing image. Nice head turn and detail. Love it.

You actually have 3 images in one: the goldfinch, the rose, and the combo. The combo is nice and the yellows are just right. The BG goes well with the subjects. Well done…Jim

Very nice composition, Sandy. The rose and goldfinch are both in prime condition and it’s a pleasant composition.

I like this one a lot, Sandy.

I’d consider desaturating the flower a little. As is, that yellow makes the bird’s yellow look a little washed out. But that’s really a trifle. It’s a fine shot.

Hi Sandy, love the head turn towards the flower and the overall scene in general. The two green leaves on the right help to balance out the image to my eye. Very intriguing photo.

Well composed image with an apt title. I like the size contrasts between the goldfinch and the rose. The blacks on the finch helps keep it in the frame. You got a very nice head turn from it that makes this a pleasing composition.
