Critique Style Requested: Standard
The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
I know there’s a fair amount of empty space, but I like the feel of the setting. Also like the rain drop splash in front of the duck.
Any thoughts appreciated.

Beautiful job on the Wigeon, Allen, and I love the color of the background in this one. This doesn’t feel like too much space to me, the bird is plenty large for excellent detail to show. For some reason, I feel like this image might present better if you removed the plants outside the stroke line.
Allen: A beautiful bird indeed and I think the comp works very well. Despite the fact that this was probably a dreary day this does look a little dark to me. About a half stop boost in exposure brings a bit more pop to the wigeon and still keeps the mood of a rainy day.>=))>

Very pretty! I love the composition. Makes you feel like you’re right there watching the duck. Colors are great and love the feather detail on the 2nd picture.
I like the repost, Allen. The slightly lighter color tones of blue and gray work well. And the grasses add to the image for me. The image is nicely composed. As they say nice weather for ducks.
