Bill, this is very soft, gentle and mysterious. I do think a modest crop of the brighter bits along the bottom would add focus on the sweeping curve of that single petal.

Bill, the colors are very appealing. I like the curves and the subtle tonal gradients. The “ascending” nature of the composition is good. My reservation about this one is that my eye is led to the only sharply focused feature and when I get there, there’s nothing much to see. It might be better if nothing were in focus.

This is lovely, Bill. It’s like a dream sequence in its lack of focus. I like the one bit in focus, and I like a bit of the color variation. I’m not sure about the green ULC, so I ran with Mark’s comment and my thoughts on that green portion and did a slight crop.

Just something to consider. I hope we get more comments on this one.

Marylynne: Thanks for noticing that corner. I had cropped slightly to get rid of the petal edge on the right and missed that sliver on the left. Good eye. >=))>

I like the soft colors and abstract nature of the image, Bill. The tip makes for a nice focal point and the bottom of the image seems to lead up to it.
