The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
Inspired by @Bill_Fach’s drone images, this summer I purchased a drone to play with. I went with a cheap model, because I fully expected to immediately crash it where I couldn’t retrieve it. So far, despite all reasonable expectations that hasn’t happened.
When I was over at the coast last month, I played with flying the drone over the marshy area west of where Beaver Creek hits the coast.
Specific Feedback
To be honest, this is just a “fooling around” shot just to take get my feet wet with a drone. Therefore, any thoughts appreciated. I really need to get out more with it, and if I find I really enjoy it I’ll likely upgrade to a better sensor in the future.

John: This looks pretty good to me. Of course I love the POV and how you arranged all of these elements in the frame. One way to get more information from your sensor is to do panoramas, not with the feature available with the drone but by taking separate full frame shots and blending them in LR. It’s really easy and I’m starting to do that more and more although unfortunately I wasn’t aware of the technique when I was on the coast last fall. Nigel Danson and Jeroen Van Nieuwenhove offer a Drone Master Class that I’ve taken and highly recommend. I’m still flying my Mini 3 Pro and by using the panorama technique I get big files that can be printed large. I’m not sure how well it would work when shooting over the ocean with moving waves but for static subjects it’s very worthwhile. Keep flying and looking forward to more of your work from the air.>=))>
Very cool, John. It takes a while to figure out the scale of this image, which is a big plus for an abstract, and I’m still not sure I have it right. I like the patterns you’ve included in the frame.
