Charlee

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

99.9% of my photography is aimed at things that can’t talk back. For any of you who do commercial photography my hat is off to you. I did make an exception this past weekend. This is Charlee, our youngest grandchild at her first birthday party. Of course at her age she won’t talk back much. That will come soon enough. >=))>

Specific Feedback

I’m impressed with the results from this phone despite some of the panning by critics of the latest I Phone iterations. Your thoughts?

Sweet image, Bill. I love her expression and the angle works well. For my taste the vignette feels a little overdone, but that’s probably just me.

Somehow I have the feeling that Charlee should get used to the idea of being your model because I think there’s a very proud grandfather behind that iPhone 16 :innocent:

This will be a cherished shot for decades to come!

Well done, Bill!

Personally, I like the color and the amount of vignetting, but that’s just my own personal taste for portraits of children wearing peachy colors.

Gorgeous little girl in wonderful light!! The photograph is pretty attractive, too! I would also back off the vignette. The top bothers me because there is a natural highlight behind her on the right, then it goes darker, then the vignette reverses that. I’d experiment with a subtle darker vignetter, too – it could make her even more 3D!
