The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
In the early morning I found a tree in our backyard with blossoming flowers with bees on the flowers and flying all around it. I decided to make the sky a big part of the image because its blue hue was the perfect complementary color to the white and yellow colors of the tree.
Specific Feedback
Am I the only one who really likes this photograph or is it intriguing given its somewhat unusual composition? All frank comments are welcome! Thank you.
Technical Details
I was trying out a new Viltrox 56mm f1.7 lens (85mm FF Equiv.) with my Fujifilm X-T3 camera. I shot it at f6.4 with ISO 160 to ensure a sharp image.
I like the idea a lot, Tom. I think this works pretty well, though I don’t think it needs quite that much sky. I think cropping about half way down to the top of the trees would be enough sky and bees to make this work without looking quite so bottom heavy.
Tom: Much better with the crop and a delightful scene. I think I would make some of the smaller bees go away as they look more like dust spots than bees. Nicely seen and presented. >=))>
PS: I added the + Repost to your title. It’s always a good idea to do that when you post a revision so that folks know to revisit. You can edit the title yourself by clicking on the pencil (edit) icon next to the title.
Hi Bill— For reasons that baffle me I cannot figure out how to do things on the website! Could you send me a screenshot of where/how to add a revised photo edit? Thank you…
