The subject was so close to the ground that I had to reverse the center column on my tripod so it faced down instead of up, which in turn required my camera to be mounted upside down when I captured the image.

First impressions always welcome. [I also tried flipping the image over (since the camera was upside down when the image was captured). But I liked the “in-camera” version better.]

Franz, this is an interesting find and shot. I think the grass being upside down is awkward to my eyes, but I love the way the droplets on the web mimic the shape of hills to me. Maybe if you crop some off the bottom so the grass might look more normal. Just a thought. You did a good job capturing so many droplets of water.
I actually cropped both the top and bottom of the image so the dew drops were centered right down the middle. I had a couple of sheets of Red River 12" x 36" Polar Matte left over from another project, and decided to print it. It was quite the conversation piece. [One of the neighbor’s grandkids now owns it…]
Franz: I like your unconventional comp and crop. I find this intriguing and can imagine that it is a conversation starter. Just enough “What is this?” to garner a lot of interest. Well done. >=))>
