The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
This photo was taken at sunrise on the Maasvlakte. To get there I first have to go through the ports of Rotterdam with stinking polluting petrochemical industry. To get there I first have to go through a tunnel that was recently constructed at the expense of another nature reserve. Multiple contradictions in this photo

You had wonderful conditions for your photo shoot here. Terrific leading lines and foreground interest. Your long exposure worked well to create very soft water and I quite like the colors of the sky and the water.
Question: Were you using a polarizer? The reason I ask is that there is a dark section in the upper center portion of the sky that looks odd. Also, the left side of the image appears to be quite a bit lighter than the rest of the image ( It looks like that’s where the sun is so I get it). Also, the center portion of the mud is quite dark but on either side, particularly the left side, it’s quite a bit brighter. It almost appears as if a dark band is going through the middle of the scene from the clouds through the sand. I took this into LR for a quick spin to work on these issues.
With just a few masks I was able to even out the scene, particularly that dark area at the top of the clouds. Hope this helps. I do like the colors here though and that was your initial question.
Thank you so much for this feedback.
The dark band is from a variabel ND . It doesnt work well with a 16mm angle.
Your example is very useful. Thanks a lot!
This is quite a lovely image, @UlbeSpaans. Beautifully composed and so simple, but with enough small details to keep me engaged. I do like David’s rework as the sky feels better balanced.
I love the contrast of the shore texture apposed to the soft water and sky. I think the colors are just right Ulbe, they add to the softness of that part of the image.
That’s a great catch and adjustment @David_Haynes! I definitely think it makes a great image even better.
