Frog in the Flow

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

It’s mating season for the local Green Frogs. This one spent several days watching carefully from under various overhanging rocks in my water feature. In this case, he’s sitting in the flow that at the start with an 8-9 inch falls, just out of view at the bottom of the frame.

Specific Feedback

I really liked how the early sun was lighting the frog, the rocks and the flow structure.

Technical Details

R5, 180mm macro, 1/13 s, f/11, iso 800, tripod. A 21 shot stack to get the fully lit region sharp.

Very cool! Lovely light and composition, and the frog seems to be dressed for a date! And the bug on his nose is a great touch! Hope he had good luck.

Mark: I always like what you do with your frogs and this is no exception. great details throughout and I like the colors and water movement as well. Nicely done.>=))>

A gorgeous setting that would make a nice image in itself and the frog fits it perfectly, Mark. The bug on a frog’s nose is an interesting twist.
