Frostbit Wave

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

My wife and I spent the better part of the day uncovering frost protected plants. Afterwards I went on a tour to assess the damage to the plants and the potential damage to my wallet in the spring when replacements will have to be purchased. Considering how low the temperatures were and how prolonged I was generally pleased with her efforts. While shooting some Titi leaves I thought I might try to catch some motion blur when the wind was tossing the leaves about but then I decided to play around with some rotational ICM as well. One of the features of my 70-200 is its smooth tripod collar. I got some interesting results and chose this as one of the best. I might post some others which were pretty cool as well but thought I would get a feel for how this appeals to others. >=))>

It grabs my attention, Bill. I was thinking it was just soft focus, so it’s interesting to hear how you achieved this. The patterns of the “pink” on green make an interesting web and the curve in the upper part of the image does make a nice wave.
