Description
I took this image in the heart of Bouddi National Park, where the sandstone seemed to play with geometry; its outer rectangular frames giving way to an inner sanctum of a circle.
Whoa! What a cool find! The more I look into it, the deeper that center point gets; a definite feeling of being drawn down into something. Did you edit to increase the grainy effect, or is that natural for that formation? Great job.
Another beautiful abstract, Saundie. When I first looked at it I thought of a stadium or arena. A very interesting formation. It’s interesting how much color variation there is between layers of the sedimentary formation. Out of curiosity, how large was this?
Wow, really cool patterns, textures and colors! I like the brown color near the center that reinforces the feeling of an eye, by forming the iris. If I could suggest anything, I’d say the small triangle of orange on the LLC is ever so slightly distracting to me. If you agree, maybe tone it down a bit or crop it out? But fantastic image!
Another superb abstract Saundie! Great visual design and patterns. The way the shapes morph from box like to circle is really wonderful. The tonal variation as the center becomes brighter than the boundary is excellent. I’d recommend burning that upper right corner a bit and addressing the sliver of orange in the lower left corner.
