Great Salt Lake Pano

Image(s)

Image Description

Fremont Island and Promontory Point in the distance. I was going for a pretty minimal pano, and mostly thinking about mood and feel. I sloshed out into the water to eliminate all the mud in the foreground, hoping the water would stay below my boots. I went home dry, so that’s a bonus.
There weren’t any birds or ducks out that evening, so the water is pretty clean except for a far away log.

Is it too boring, plain, too simple, too obvious?

Pertinent Technical Details

Julie: Not too plain and simple for me. Marvelous color palette and in this image having the horizon centered works really well. Nicely conceived and superbly captured and presented. >=))>

Yay! Thank you @Bill_Fach !!!

Beautiful image, Julie. The pastel looks to it and the perfect reflections create a very peaceful and serene feel.

Wow!! Wonderful!! I love the composition and colors and there is such a lovely amount of detail in the island and distant mountains! Worthy of a huge print in a high-end gallery!
