Dave, a truly stunning image here. The sun light hitting around the eye cavity really makes this work so well. Needless to say, the rest of the Herron ain’t too bad either… :+1:… :sunglasses:

Totally agree with @Paul_Breitkreuz, Dave. But what really caught my attention was the expressive determination on its face. Like he’s going somewhere and fast. Also I can really feel the movement and energy in the details the feathers. Great photo and very nicely done.

Fine-looking bird and finer capture and realization of the image! Gorgeous “pose” in wonderful light!

Pretty light. I like how it lightens up the underside of heron. Nice details and i like the dof. Good one.
