Description
When I saw James Hendon’s shot of 4 bees on a poppy, I scooted over to our local arboretum. Hey presto! Five of them wallowing in the pollen of a peony. Backatcha! Then I log on tonight only to see his later shot with a half dozen of them. Darn! Guess I’ll have to look for a lucky 7 now! Fat chance of that, I think. Hats off to you, @james7.

OM-1 + 60mm macro 1/250 f10 ISO 1600 flash and diffuser
Tonal treatments in LR and PS. Denoise and cropping.
Mike: A great capture of this quintet. The flash is not evident which is a really good thing IMO. Did the flash freeze the wing action or was your SS 1/2500? Must have been fun to get such a cooperative bunch. Nicely done. >=))>
Lighting and details are excellent. This is a good example of how fill flash should look like. The light looks natural with soft shadows. I think this is fine as presented. Awesome shot @Mike_Friel …Jim
Thanks @Bill_Fach and @Jim_Zablotny. Bill, the diffused flash helped with the 1/250 - and the bees were all wallowing, so they held their wings still in the process!
