Prickly Poppies are some of my favorite Texas wildflowers but they can be tough to shoot because of their long stems and the ever present winds in the spring. I got lucky with this fresh bloom and buds. All comments welcome. >=))>
Gorgeous capture of a fascinating subject. Lovely whites! I could hardly believe it when I came across some of these several years ago, at Aranzas. No birds, but lovely poppies…
You sure are good with flowers, Bill! This is another excellent shot with a pleasing composition, great colors, an excellent exposure and fine detail. The buds balance the flower and also show the different stages of the plant. Well done!
Gorgeous Bill. I love the details and definition you get the white petals. OOF background is spot one. Nicely seen and executed.
