Description

Heceta Head is my favorite lighthouse on the Oregon coast. I spent many summers in Yachats as a boy and go back frequently. Shot this on my October trip from the overlook near Sea Lion Caves. I have many images of the light in all kinds of conditions but this is the Oregon coast personified.>=))>

I’m late to the stitching panoramas scene but am pretty amazed at how well this turned out. Full size file is over 2 GB. Who’d have thunk it?

That part of the coast was well fogged in when I went through it a month ago, Paul (when it wasn’t rained in). It’s a beautiful vantage point and I love the composition. The fog is what the Pacific Northwest is all about and it fit’s the scene beautifully.

Bill, this shows off the coastline, trees and fog well. I like the sense of place that the smallness of the structures shows.
