Such a confident post he strikes, as if declaring, ‘Nevermore shall I post.’ If this were my image, I might darken the shadows slightly to preserve the texture in the feathers and add a bit more space between the bird and the left edge. That’s just my preference , but I tend to gravitate toward darker tones. Left as it is, I think it is a very nice photograph, Dave.

Hi Dave, I like the pose and the framing of the bird with the pine needles. Image overall has muted details including on the bird. I wonder if this is due to over use of noise reduction. Overall, exposure looks good to me.

Good pose and I like the green background and pine needles-a pleasing effect. Maybe some motion blur?

The cropping and exposure look very good. I like the pose and can almost hear it . I did wonder about the softness on the bird’s body as compared to the sharpness of beak, throat and auricular feathers. You could try and add some sharpness there with a Lr mask and sharpness brush.

Hi Dave
Great work on the blacks, eye contact, and environment.
Peter

A great pose and background, Dave, and I like your treatment of the blacks in the Raven. It does look as if your focus was slightly in front of the bird-probably not an issue if viewed from any distance.
