Remnant

I’m always on the lookout for old logs buried in the sand. There’s something so melancholy about them, the remnants of once mighty trees.

Bonnie: Your vigilance paid off nicely here. Really good find and a fine comp and conversion. :+1: :+1:>=))>

Bonnie, your processing of this view does a fine job of saying melancholy, with the cloudy sky, the dark dunes and the buried log.

Your edits really serve to make the log isolated.

This is beautiful and certainly accomplishes your goal of creating a melancholy image. Your editing ensures that the eye is drawn immediately to your subject, where it can then have a nice wander among the variations in the texture of the sand and the patterns of vegetation on the ground.

I think this is excellent. No major critiques from me!

Thank you, @Bill_Fach, @Mark_Seaver, @Chris_Baird, and @Nick_Becker for your appreciation.
