This is my favorite rose in our garden. It is practically indestructible and blooms like crazy even when conditions don’t seem favorable. I liked this bud with purple lantana in the BG. Decided to add some oil paint filter just for fun. All comments welcome. >=))>

The rose and the OOF purple lantana are exceptional. I would be curious to see what this would look like had you done a little gardening on the rather flat light green leaves behind the rose. Or perhaps selectively darken their midtones?

I can see why you like this rose, Bill. Nicely photographed. I like what the oil paint texture is doing to the background, but to my taste, it feels a little too heavy on the bloom and sepals, particularly when viewed large.
