Shadows dancing on sand dunes

Image(s)

Image Description

One of my favorite places to visit every year on family visits in Michigan are the sand dunes along the shores of Lake Michigan. Shadows can bring a tangled root to life and, bonus, it changes throughout the day.

SO cool!! Excellent seeing, with the shadows in just the right spot. I love the interplay of the thinner piece at the top with its shadow, but all of them are wonderful!

John,

Very trippy, almost like an optical illusion.

John: What @Youssef_Ismail said. This is a nice find and I like how the shadows and the root interplay. Very well done. >=))>

Hi John,

What a great entry for the weekly challenge!

To be honest, I probably would have overlooked this scene, so thank you so much for the reminder to pay closer attention to all aspects of nature, not just the more obvious stuff.

Nature is really cool!
Well done, John!!

This is rather jaunty. For some reason, I also love that bit of root that is lying on the sand in the lower left.

Well done, John. I have nothing to add to what others have said.

All your comments are appreciated. I’ll be back in these dunes next week and will carry you all with me!
