I posted an image of this plant at the park. Gray sky and dark plant. I went back with a different idea and there was a great blue sky and I took this image. Kinda Ying and Yang.
Specific Feedback
My image is kept simple with a delicate look to it.
Gill, I like the simplicity of the image, but for me the plant is too dark to enjoy the details of it. Nice composition but the BG black and the subject near black feels like the subject is losing its punch. It looks like a good subject for B&W.
Thanks for showing interest. I agree on you comment. I tried to make it as bright as I could but it would kinda tear down some. Hard to explain. Ill try again. Thanks again
Gil: Nicely conceived, composed and captured. I think your revision is an improvement for sure. You might consider placing your revision in the original posting so that viewers can compare them side by side instead of having to scroll down into the thread. On your original post you can access the pencil icon for editing and then insert the new image with any additional comments you might like to make. I also edited your title so that folks will know to revisit. You can also do that yourself with the pencil icon next to the title. I like your philosophy; keep up the good work. >=))>
