Diane - these are all wonderful! I especially like the Eclipse - not the typical composition. The 2017 eclipse was excellent from Central Oregon, and it was Jim’s birthday too - we have an composited image from my shots on the wall here.
The anti-tails are also cool - I got a couple faint ones on my comet shots, but nothing like this.
Excellent work, as usual!

WOW, Diane, and what a year you’ve had! All of your images are beyond stunning IMHO and couldn’t possibly chose a favorite… . .however, I am enjoying the Western Bluebird (love the perch!). Thank you for sharing these with us and I for one look forward to what this next year will bring to you. Best wishes this holiday season.

Diane, a truly enjoyable collection. The Western Bluebird is wonderfully delicate and the eclipse composite shows off the event very well.

Congrats on a great year, Diane. The comet images in particular stand out to me, as it’s a departure from anything I’m likely to attempt. I really dig the subtle green tones in the first.

A beautiful collection, Daine. I love the diversity, and your astro images are always stunning (from someone who just can’t stay up that late).

Thanks, @SandyR-B, @linda_mellor, @Mark_Seaver, @Max_Waugh and @Dennis_Plank! Max, every comet is amazingly different. Pons-Brooks was a lovely green and the detail in the tail varied night to night. This last one was boring in comparison but did give us a rare view of the anti-tail.

Dennis, I’m not that fond of staying up late unless there’s a good party, but with the current equipment you don’t have to. After some hands-on setup, you can run and monitor it from in bed with a smart phone or tablet.

Diane, what a year you’ve had! If I could only hang one on the wall it would be the Waves. Love the balance and tension of upward movement (left) and downward (right). But they’re all very wall-worthy.

What a great set of images! All of them are just outstanding with great composition, creativity and craftmanship. I really like your astrophotography images, they are much more interesting than most of what you see elsewhere. My favorite images are the Western Bluebird, Bodie Firehouse and Snowy Egret. Looking forward to see more of your work during the next year.

What can I add that hasn’t already been expressed? So much ability and vision on display. Each one has a different character and feel. Tremendous year.

I love your work Diane, and it’s wonderful to see a year grouped like this. Happy Holidays!

Thanks, @Mike_Friel, @Ola_Jovall, @Kris_Smith amd @John_Williams! And thanks again, @SandyR-B, @linda_mellor, @Mark_Seaver, @Max_Waugh and @Dennis_Plank! I’m so grateful to be a part of this community and to be inspired by all your work and that of many more.

I have to give in to the urge to offer a less-edited collection of 2024 favorites on my web site: https://www.dianedmiller.com/Photography/2024-Favorites

Happy Holidays to all of you!

Your extended favorites list is really impressive, Diane.

Nice collection Diane. I love the birds, especially the woody and the egret flying with the branch.

Fine series. The eclipse is my fav. Technically very good and great composition. It is a wonderful moment.

Thanks, @Ed_Williams and @rob1! The eclipse would have to be my favorite both for the rarity and for all the planning and trouble and last-minute Hail Mary coming together with the luck of the weather – for a third time out of three tries.
