Stumped #2

Here’s another view of my favorite stump, taken on the shady side under a heavy overcast. (7D2, 180mm macro, 1/13 s, f/16, iso 400, tripod) Six shot stack for dof.

I like this one! Great curves and texture - like a topo map.

Oh, I love this one too, Mark. It does look like a topo map. I like the placement of the circles or knots, and all the textures this image provides. The greenery goes so well with the browns. You are having fun with that stump! I’m enjoying your images. :+1: :+1:

I can see why this is your favorite stump. What interesting patterns and textures.

My favorite (probably until Stump 3 is posted). I see the face of an ogre with a few teeth and lots of warts and blemishes. Keep them coming.

That’s an amazing stump!! I missed the first one – will go look for it. Great idea to stack – the details are wonderful!

Mark: What a great subject that lends itself to so many possibilities. Well seen and superbly presented. >=))>

Great image! Love the lines, patterns, designs, and the ingrown foliage. Well done!

Really fun Image. I love some up-close tree/bark detail shots.
