Another in this series. This one is different in that the tree reflections don’t fill the frame. It’s not as abstract as the others I’ve posted, but I’m thinking I want to branch out (ha ha) on this series.
Towards the idea of finding interesting things to photograph wherever we are, I’ll say that this was made at the edge of a boat ramp into the Sacramento River, after rain had washed mud down the ramp into the river. The wisps of mud were washing back and forth at the edge of the water over concrete. It’s the sort of scene you’d be tempted to walk right past.

Any comments welcome. I fiddled with the colors a bit - any comments on the color are welcome.

iPhone 14, single frame.
(@David_Kingham, I ponied up for the 14 and I’m really pleased with it )
Just a fantastic image! It is hard to find anything to improve here, the only suggestion (a minor one!) is to maybe do something with the white triangle at the LRC.
You have a great series of images here. They are so inspiring.
I photographed with my iPhone for over a year before I purchase my mirrorless camera. I used a tripod and had a couple of Moment lenses I used. It was great carrying a light pack. I took some of my best photos with it too.
This is another wonderful image. Your image feels peaceful. I could see myself sitting on a bank somewhere and watching the ripples float over the tree reflections. I like your processing very much. I do agree about the triangle, easy fix. I’m enjoying this series very much…
Impressive that you used a tripod! I’m allergic to my tripod and hardly ever use it, especially with my phone. It really is fun to compose with the phone because it’s so easy to see the framing.
Yes, that is the effect I was looking for - an ethereal mood.
