Jim: Beautiful leaves and in general I like the flow of the branch across the frame. Moving the entry from the exact corner would suit me a little better but it’s certainly not a dealbreaker. What is the BG? >=))>

While the conventional wisdom is that you don’t enter at the corner, but I have no problem with it in this composition, Jim. A beautiful find and very well photographed and processed.

Thank you @Bill_Fach @Dennis_Plank . The background: Cottonwood trees.

Just for fun I opened your photo in Photoshop and used generative expand to create a space above the corner so the branch doesn’t enter from the exact corner. I think both versions are fine, although I do like the “not in the exact corner” slightly more.

Jim,

Wonderful graphic photograph. The almost detail-less leaves against the same detail free BG makes the leaves just jump off the screen. I don’t mind that the branch starts in the corner, but I do wish that sharpness of the branch as it approaches the corner did not go soft, but stayed sharp like it is at its tip.

@Tony_Siciliano Thanks for the new version. Now I like both. @Youssef_Ismail Thank you.good point about the lack of sharpness.

Just chiming in very late to say this is terrific. Try as I might, I can never get red leaves on such a perfect background. Fabulous.

@Kris_Smith Thanks you for your nice comment. It is very much appreciated.
