Rippled Reflections #2

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

This is a second shot of the same area as my earlier post providing some idea about how much change there can be from shot to shot when the water is moving. I have now spent roughly three weeks, trying to figure out what it takes to get views with fairly large structure.

Specific Feedback

Cropped to 4x5 from the right for more emphasis on the central figures.

Technical Details

R5, 180 mm macro, 1/125 s, f/8, iso 3200, tripod, denoised in LR

The first one was very cool but for me this one is even better! The colors work so well with the shapes to give a 3D effect and the mix of larger and smaller details creates a lot of interest to keep me exploring. Sounds like you’re getting things dialed in for a great series – looking forward to more!! (But I hope the ice series will continue this winter!)

I agree with Diane - this one has more red for more RGB balance! The LLC has more clear structure too. Though I prefer the darker green in the first shot. You nearly have a stained-glass triptych, Mark.
