Description

This is the face of a small mill pond waterfall in New Brunswick. The color is from tanins leached from trees and leaves in the surrounding forest after a significant rain event.

Specific Feedback

I had to clone out about a hundred lens spots. It is amazing how well they all showed up in this image. Your thoughts and insights are welcomed.

Technical Details

Canon 5DMiii, f22, 1/8s, iso 100, -0.3ev, 24-105 lens at 105 mm.

Ed: My first impression was that you shot some punk kid’s hair :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:. Pretty cool abstract and I like the effect from your SS. >=))>

Ed, the tonal range is what catches my eyes. I do wonder about the level of saturation? (Based on my experiences shooting high water on the Potomac.)

Thank you @Bill_Fach and @Mark_Seaver. I did bump the saturation up on this Mark. It was shot on a rainy, overcast day and that may contribute some to the color here.

I like all the shades of caramel. Looks good enough to eat. Mother Nature has a way of cleaning things out. I like the saturation. That can be varied by so many things. I don’t think it was too much.
This pic would make a great BG for … Thanks

Thank you @SkipsPics, I appreciate it.
