The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
Made another trip to Lowe’s Water Gardens this morning with the intent of just spending a few minutes and frames there and ended up staying over 2 hours and shooting 500+ images. Sometimes there are so many great subjects I can’t decide what to shoot first. >=))>
Specific Feedback
In my film days I often tried to fill the frame with the subject so even though I got some wider views of this beauty I kind of like the tight framing. Your thoughts?

The tight framing looks great to me - it really emphasizes the fiery brightness of the center, and I like how the colors morph from gold to mauve. Also the slight angle adds to the interest, and again your black background works very well here. Another winner, Bill.
I really like how you thought you would only be there a few minutes. Every photographer’s famous last words, “I’ll be just a moment here…” I like the crop on this and that you used a large DOF. I like seeing all the details across the flower. But nothing distracts from the center of attention. Did you dodge and burn much to get the effect of the light coming from the flower? Or was that just the way it was? Either is great, just asking to know. And the title really fits. Nice.
Patrick: This is natural light with very little processing. I find the centers of the lilies seem to glow as if lit some from within. I’m not sure what creates this effect but I like it. >=))>
